Flare Stake - 48 m Height

We successfully fabricated a Flare Stake of 48 m Height. Our Contractor was Gulf Petrochemical Services and Client was Oman Gas Company.

Introduction about Flare Stake:
A gas flare or flare stack is an elevated vertical stack or pipe found on oil & gas wells, oil & gas drilling rigs, natural gas well completion activities, in refineries, chemical plants, natural gas processing plants and landfills used for combusting waste gas released by pressure relief valves during unplanned over-pressuring of plant equipment. In landfills, the primary purpose of this device is to combust waste methane gas which results from the decomposition of organic materials in the landfill.

Welding: We carried out SAW process welding for C-Seam.
Material : SA516 Gr. 70 used for Shell.
This Flare stack was divided into four shell, each shell were 12 m height, 25 thick to 12 thick.

The Major diameter of this was 2600 mm and minor dia was 400 mm.
